Set on 70 acres of savannah woodland (with over sixty indigenous tree species) the lush, manicured gardens sweep down invitingly to the Resort’s private dam where birdlife and fish abound. Outstanding balancing rock formations (kopjes) dotted with centuries-old Bushman paintings allow guests to feel at one with nature right in the heart of the city.
From horse riding to the giant swing, Stephen Margolis Resort has all the adventure boxes ticked. We provide the most fun, hair-raising, experiences you simply have to try!
Whether organizing a small meeting or orchestrating a large conference, event planning is a huge task!
Every event, no matter how simple or complex, requires detailed planning and organisation. At Stephen Margolis Resort, our team work closely with you to make the process as stress-free as possible and to maximize your event’s success.
All our guestrooms are elegantly furnished with soft beds draped in the finest linen and en-suite facilities with complimentary amenities. From your window you can see our balancing rocks engraved with Africa’s Big Five animals, natural indigenous trees and original Bushmen paintings.
Embark on an unforgettable journey of learning and fun by visiting our Cultural & Heritage Museum, which also includes a traditional kitchen, built in the “kumusha’ style. Families and children are welcome to learn the traditions and explore the artefacts in our museum. The Resort has 3 sites of original bushman rock paintings as well as 62 indigenous tree species which have been labelled for ease of identification.
